As an accredited training practice we are involved in the training of GP Registrars. These qualified doctors are training to become GP’s.
These doctors work independently but remain under the close supervision of our trainers.
GP Registrars are usually with us for 6 month periods, generally from February – August and August – February.
Doctors and nurses at this practice also help to teach medical and nursing students. You may occasionally be asked if a student can sit in at your consultation, or if you mind your consultation being recorded for training purposes. If you are not happy with this, for whatever reason, please say so. We fully understand that some patients may prefer not to have another doctor or student present or their consultation recorded and will respect the wishes of the patient at all times.
